- Monsoon
June to September.
Rain, slippery trails and poor views, and flights to the airstrip at Lukla are often delayed or cancelled.

- Winter
December to February.
Possible, but much colder, with snow higher up, and many businesses on the trail close.

Trekking in the monsoon or in winter
Both are possible, with more risk of delay. From June to September rain makes the trails slippery and cloud grounds the Lukla flights; from December to February it is much colder, with snow higher up, and many businesses on the trail close.
If those are your only weeks, keep spare days in the plan and ask us about the trail before you book. The Nepal Tourism Board still lists December to February among the good months for the region.
