Is this trip right for you?

Hard: remote, with long days (6 to 8 hours) in the lower gorge, simple teahouses, and a very long pre-dawn pass day to 5,106 m that is often snow-covered. No technical climbing in normal conditions, but snow, cold and altitude make the pass serious; good fitness and the two acclimatisation days are needed.
